Milkweed flowering by the barn

No-till squash and cucumbers are going to be planted in these beds today, These beds are nicely mulched with the rye and vetch that was mowed a couple weeks ago.


On harvest mornings we place baskets of freshly harvested vegetables in the shade of the truck so they do not wilt before we can get them in for washing.


Yes, we will be at Grove Park on Monday July 4.

Our new-to-us flail mower cutting and chopping 6 foot tall rye and vetch no problem. These beds will planted later in the summer for fall and winter harvests. Thanks Plowbreak Farm for selling us the mower.
