The Corning and on-farm CSA has one more pick-up tomorrow and Friday. The fall/winter CSA does not start until the first week of November. This will be Thursday November 4, Friday Novembers 5, Sunday November 7.

The tomato jungle

We will miss Christina (The Flower Lady) at the Corning Farmers' Market. She was already a vendor when we started attending in 2003 so she definitely deserves a break. We hope she has a great life ahead of her back in Germany.

Our truck is in the shop so we have been using alternative methods for hauling things around the farm
Our one almond tree has yielded tons of nuts this year. Now we just have to crack the shells.

Farm Event
Saturday October 16,  Noon. Garlic planting and farm potluck lunch. We will be planting garlic for next year's harvest. Come for planting or the potluck or both. We'll have lunch then plant garlic for a while. Bring gloves if you like.

Insects like to make nests in the frames of our hoophouses
Pepper plants alongside recently transplanted pac choi, chard and kale. The hoophouse will be pulled over these beds sometime next month. Soon we will rip out the pepper plants and transplant more greens in those beds.
Our own organic apples and conventional kiwiberries from our neighbors are now available.
