Early season greens

A photo from a couple weeks ago right after we transplanted cucumbers and zucchini

CSA begins Thursday June 3 at Corning Farmers Market 10:00 - 3:00. Then Friday June 4 at the farm from Noon until Dark. And Monday June 7 at Grove Park in Elmira 3:00-6:00.

We still have shares available, so tell your friends and enemies!

Expected harvest for Week 1 (small share choose 5, large share choose 7)

• letttuce heads (green and red)
• lettuce mix
• spicy mix
• spinach
• mustard bunches
• beet green bunches (with small beets)
• daikon radishes
• parsnips
• spring radishes
• salad turnips
• scallions
• leeks
• cilantro
• eggs
• organic, locally grown flour

 

Tomatoes recently transplanted

Surprise chicks! We did not realize how long this hen had been sitting on her nest. This past week she hatched 5 chicks. We hope they aren't all roosters.

Fresh spinach and greens will be ready to harvest in a couple weeks.
