This is a leek flower bud. We are trying to grow our own leek seeds this year. Can't wait to see what the flowers look like!
We like to let some of these milkweeds grow at the margins of the fields and in the hedgerows for the insects, especially the monarchs.
 The harvest crew.
Orange and red beets all shiny.

Well the rain showers of the past week had all been missing us and the soil was getting really dry. But we got quite a downpour yesterday. This makes our work easier. Obviously we don't have to irrigate which takes a lot of time to set up, but carrots are easier to harvest from the soft, moist soil. And weeds are easier to pull, too!

Expected options (Small share choose 7, large share choose 9):
Cucumbers
Pickling cucumbers
Squash/Zucchini
Cabbage
Broccoli
Garlic Scapes
Beets
Green Beans
Lettuce Mix
Spicy Mix

Swiss chard
Kale
Scallions
Hakurei Turnips
Pea Shoots
