So sorry to have forgotten to post last week. Here is the update for this week. Lots of rain the other day plus more today and more in the forecast. Hooray for rain. Everything is looking lush and happy! You're gonna have to eat your greens this week!!

We will be hosting a pre-season potluck this Friday May 5, 6:00. Come see what's growing and listen to the peepers' evening serenade. It seems right now like the weather might improve by Friday! Plus we still have many vegetable transplants for sale and it looks like this weekend will be a great time to get your garden started.

We were able to put new plastic on Folkenflik (one of our 96' unheated hoophouses). The plastic was fairly old and torn. It is recommended to replace greenhouse plastic every 5-7 years or so for proper light transmission. We would like to replace the plastic on a couple of our 48' hoophouses. But it does not look like the weather will make it possible this week. Which is fine with me. Bring on some snow!

 This is our biggest week all Spring for planting trays in the greenhouse. All of our pepper, eggplant and tomato seedlings need to get potted up. And onions, leeks, shallots, broccoli, cabbage, kale, chard, celeriac, greens and more (both for our use and for plant sales) all are scheduled to be planted this week. The greenhouse will be filling up fast!

2023 Muddy Fingers Farm CSA 

Happy Winter! It will be Spring again sometime believe it or not. So we have posted the Muddy Fingers Farm CSA form as a link to this page. Please print it out and return via mail or the farmers' market. We will be at the Corning Winter Farmers' Market and Chamberlain Acres Farmers' Market for 2 more weeks (through mid-February). 

You can also join via our online payment website through the Shop Now button on our Facebook page or by going to muddy-fingers-farm.square.site. There is a small additional fee if you pay online, however.

Warning! The Fall/Winter CSA runs for only 2 more weeks as well. 

There will be no Corning Farmers' Market tomorrow. For those of you who normally pick up your share on Thursdays, you are welcome to pick it up on Friday at the farm from Noon-Dark, at the Ithaca Farmers Market on Saturday (limited selection) or Sunday at the Chamberlain Acres Farmers Market (11am-3pm). Or you can double up next week.
