Wait, isn't that a weed? Well, yes, purslane is a common garden weed. But this a larger, cultivated variety that we decided to trial this year. We should have some available next week. Give it a try! It is tasty raw or cooked and it is high in vitamins E+C and in omega-3 fatty acid

The new deer fence is completed. It does not completely encircle our fields but we think it will keep the deer out. 

Kale, cabbage and broccoli under row cover to keep them warm and protect them from deer.
